Jazmine Sullivan’s debut album, Fearless, came out September of last year and has already garnered the singer two hit singles, positive reviews, and a whopping five Grammy nominations—including Best New Artist. Sullivan has big competition in Adele, but she has a good chance of winning the award.

On first single, “Need U Bad,” one can hear the soul and yearning in her voice that separates her from the vast pool of female R&B sound-alikes. Supporter Missy Elliott is featured in the song’s official video singing along. Just as good is the fun follow-up single, “Bust Your Windows,” in which she breaks his car because he broke her heart. Here’s to hoping she bests Adele to grab that coveted Grammy.
